Reach out and touch
With such world wide interest aroused by the announcement of the Man Booker International Prize in 2005, the web was the obvious way to feed the need for information.
Page impression
We designed a clear and informative site that people could engage with. We wanted to capture user data through encouraging visitors to register their interest and receive email newsletters. This has proved successful and allows us to reach our audience with relevant content wherever they may be.
Lively debate
To encourage participation from users and add value to the site we created a bespoke set of functions to allow people from around the world to suggest who they thought deserving of recognition by the Man Booker International Prize.
In addition to being able to submit a name people were invited to comment on why they submitted the author.
This elicited a very lively debate across the world. A veritable United Nations representing authors both famous and niche battled it out on the website as people supported their own favourites. At one point hundreds of people at a time debated the merits of Balkan realism versus East Asian fantasists.
All adding to the literary impact of this prestigious new prize.
