Valued
With a strong environmental stance and 450 years behind them, Quakers were looking for a marque that embodied their history and reflected their values.
Authentic
From our initial presentation of three options the Q was the strong favourite. Created using an ink on paper woodcut the circle forming the Q not only had authenticity but reflected the Quaker practise of meeting in a circle.
Reflection
Our client felt that this solution represented a bold and modern step forward but retained links with Quaker faith, values and practise.
Options
We also suggested that Quakers adopted a suite of colours for the logo, and their house style, rather than having one fixed solution. The colours were loosely intended to work with two types of output; outreach and faith. This empowered staff to use the logo in a way that reflected their intent and brought diversity and energy to Quaker publications.
