Making content management simple

Hoop believe that all website owners should have control over the content of their websites. A successful website is wholly dependent on updating and refreshing content.

Good for search

Search engine page rankings favour sites that regularly publish relevant content. Updating content - whether through news, events, blogs, articles, or otherwise - increases site visitors belief in a companies business online because it appears current and therefore relevant.

Write it as it's read

From experience we know that the best way for an editor to understand the medium in which they are writing is to add content directly into the page as it will be finally seen by site visitors. To be really useful the editing environment also needs to be as easy to use as possible.

Why not start from scratch

Dissatisfied with the design and usability of available content management systems (CMS), and driven by the desire to create the best editing environment for website content managers, we set about making our own, truly, 'what you see is what you get' (WYSIWYG) CMS environment.

Our approach is a sophisticated deployment of the open source LAPP (Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP) environment. The true, javascript driven, WYSIWYG editing environment allows editors to create pages as they will actually look.

As non-technical as it can be

Our W3C Standards based CMS is built for non-technical users and enables them to create and edit web content.

It enables users to manage accessible, search engine friendly websites with very little guidance and little formal training. Most users attain a working familiarity in a few hours. No coding or complicated layout is involved, simply type or paste in the text and format using predefined style settings.

In the WYSIWYG environment editors navigate the website in the CMS using the same navigational interface as site visitors making it easy to find and edit existing pages and add new ones.

Universal tag implementation allows easy and extensive aggregation of site content such as blogs, news, pages, images, video etc.
