Hoop Associates: a creative business that helps visionary organisations communicate

Writ large

The Man Booker International Prize was launched in 2005 to recognise a living author who has made a significant contribution to world literature.

Literary giants

According to the Guardian newspaper the shortlist for the prize, to be made every two years, read like a ‘roll call of modern literature’s titans’.

Step up to the mark

We were asked, by Man Booker Prize guardians, Colman Getty, to develop an identity that would support a literary honour, whose stature is only eclipsed by the Pulitzer and the Nobel prizes.

Glittering prize

Our work included the marque, promotional material, website, venue branding and a beautiful winner’s trophy.

Scottish launch

The first award went to Albanian author Ismail Kadaré in June 2005 at an award ceremony in Edinburgh, UNESCO City of Literature.
