Hoop were commissioned to promote the first UK retrospective for Georg Baselitz, which opened at the Royal Academy on the 22 September 2007.
Extensive exhibition
Georg Baselitz is one of Germany’s most prolific and well-known living artists. The exhibition features over 60 paintings, together with sculptures, prints and drawings.
Major artists
This is the fourth major exhibition we have worked on with the Royal Academy, following design work for the Rodin, Monet and Munch shows.

Southbank bag goes stella »
The must-have bag this season, and for every season on London’s South Bank, has been designed by Hoop.
Not a plastic bag
The limited edition cloth bag was designed as part of a major campaign to promote the culture, food, shopping and ambience of the South Bank to people in and around London.
Accessory
The campaign was organised by the South Bank Employers’ Group and also included postcards, badges and posters designed by Hoop.
Desirable
As well as being the thing to be seen with at the Thames Festival on the South Bank 15-16 September, the bags became the object of online banter and barter.
Star-quality
The South Bank Employers’ Group were particularly pleased when Zoe Wannamaker and Rosamund Pike wrote in to say how much they liked theirs.
